Interview questions

What is your role in the film and what is your expected to do in the film?
I will be one of the agents that have been chosen to hunt down the villain who is Ghalib. Both I and Ryan will be part of a spy agency that is made to save the world when it is at risk. So when Ghalib is released into everyday life and he suffers from PTS and starts destroying everything then it is up to me and Ryan to save the world and stop Ghalib.

What is your previous experience in acting?
I have no experience in acting; I did not take drama at GCSE so unlike Ghalib I do not have that to help me. However I have been involved in acting throughout this coursework acting in the preliminary task so do have some practise.

Why is your role challenging and what is good about your role?
My role is challenging as it I something that I have not done before and something that will take a bit of practise. To be able to act as though I am part of a really important spy agency will be difficult but I do think that I will be able to pull it off. The good thing about my role is that I also have Ryan to work with so he could help me out sometimes to get me into role.

Who is your favourite actor?
My favourite actor is Johnny Depp, this is because he is a really flexible actor and I like this about actors. All of his roles are so different yet he manages to play them so perfectly and this shows very well about how much of a good actor he is.

Who is your favourite antagonist?

My favourite antagonist by far has got to be the late Heath Ledger who famously played the role of the Joker in The Dark Knight. He plays his role very well and very effectively. The way he plays a villain actually gets the audience scared of him this is how effective he was.

Soundtrack Research

Soundtrack Research

Background Music- In our film we will try and put in some background music within the scene. This is what most the spy/agent films have, it is used and is very effective within the film. background music is used to add emotion and rhythm to a film. Usually not meant to be noticeable, it often provides a tone or an emotional attitude towards the story or the characters within the film. In addition background music foreshadows a change in mood. For example dissonant music may be used in film to indicate an approaching(but not yet visible) menace or disaster. This type of music is non dietetic music this is because it is music that the characters can not hear. The clip below is from the film jaws, this film is most famous for its well known soundtrack that it has. The film manages to cause a large amount of tension and suspense when this soundtrack is played, this is because the audience knows that something is going to happen and it is not going to be good.

Sound Effects- There are many different sound effects that can be used to create a large feeling of suspense.Synchronous sounds contribute to the realism of film and also help to create a particular atmosphere. For example, the “click” of a door being opened may simply serve to convince the audience that the image portrayed is real, and the audience-may only subconsciously note the expected sound. However, if the “click” of an opening door is part of an ominous action such as a burglary, the sound mixer may call attention to the “click” with an increase in volume; this helps to engage the audience in a moment of suspense.

Costume and Location research

The location we chose was leatherhead train station  because its a good destination to set our film and it goes well with what we are doing. The costume we are wearing is all black  jacket and grey hoodie and the person who is getting chased through the scenes is wearing his own clothes.  I think with a football hoolagon film this is a great destination as they are all getting the train to a football game. And its a great scene because you would expect that when you go to a football game. Image result for train station

How to Become a Film Director - 180 Degree Rule

180 degree rule in filming

The 180 degree rule meaning in media is when two characters  in a scene should always have the same left/right relationship to each other. If you don't follow the 180 degree rule , or break it intentionally, it disrupts the scene disorients the audience.

Shot reverse shot

Shot reverse shot is a film technique where one character is shown looking at another character (often off-screen), and then the other character is shown looking back at the first characters. since the characters are shown facing in opposite directions the viewer assumes they are looking at each other.

The 30 degree rule
The 30 degree rule is a basic film editing guideline that states the camera should move at least 30 degrees  between shots of the same subject occurring in succession.

Match on action
Match on action is when film editing and video editing cuts from one shot to another , A common example is a man walking up to a door and reaching for the knob. Just as his hand touches the knob the scene cuts to a shot of the door opening from the other side

Fast and furious 6 analysis

Fast and furious is an action adventure film which stars Dwayne Johnson and Paul walker  it is a film about one team who goes on adventures together around the world and they are always on missions and they are an unbeatable team and they are are on a mission to fight a military team who blew a building up and they have to go and beat them.

The are guns used and a lot of violence and fighting in the film which is typical for an action adventure film and they try and fight everyone and win the battles and they never want to loose which is also typical from an action adventure film.

The is a lot off fighting between the two teams and fast expensive  cars in the film which are all racing each other which is typical for an action film the is also tanks which shoot out people which is very dangerous.

The cars where racing in a track and they are not supposed to be racing there because it is illegal and they after the races as soon as they finish the race the police come and chase them and they get in trouble and the person from the other team called the police because they lost the race which is typical because they lost and and they got away with it because they went just before they came because they where expecting it which is ironic and typical for an action film to get in trouble with the police.

The music in the background is very fast and upbeat and intense and it seems like they are on a mission and they a really against the time and you could really feel that from an audience member that they have to be efficient and get the job done quickly before is to late.

The is also a love interest in the film because his wife dosent want him to leave and the was some sexual activity involved which is typical for an action film. The was also a lot of teenage girls when the expensive cars where racing which is another convention.
