Notting Hill
In the trailer notting hill is a romantic film it is about a girl who is rich and famous and well of and she is from bevely hills and she falls in love with the least important shopper in a library in notting hill so it turns into a film about love and she really fancies him and she meets him when she comes in and gets a book from a library to read, so the love interest is the girl. The film has many different general stereotypes for example love, laughter and caring and sharing . They are couple are most unlucky to be together because the girl is so successful and the boy is so unsuccessful and it is just a rare combination between the two. The two are sharing jokes and being lovely to each other which is a typical moment in a romantic film.

Bridget Jones diary analysis
Bridget Jones is a romantic film you can tell that from the opening scene when within the first minutes she falls in love and she has an interment relationship with him the camera shots on him where close ups and it shows how much they are really in love with each other but the guy she should be in love with is always in the background watching her he is almost like a shadow. The audience are almost waiting for them two to finally meet and fall in love so they are all almost waiting for that happily ever after ending between the two. The film is very stereotypical movie and it has the things that you would expect from a romantic film. The target audience for this film is younger women and teenage women who would enjoy this romantic film as it is about a girl growing up into a women in her life and finally finding her true man and love.

Mad max fury road analysis
The genre indicates from the opening scene from Mad max that it is an action movie and it has many different conventions one example of convention used in the movie is car chasing in expensive cars going really fast and they are trying to get away from each other. the camera shot is a high angle shot so that you can see all the cars chasing each other and that is a really powerful shot because you can clearly feel as an audience that is an action film and it stands out. another convention is aliens and ghost fighting each other to win the battle. there is no sound in the background when the cars are chasing each other then when the guy is getting chased the sound comes in and the music intensity keeps increasing so it turn into dietetic music because the audience can hear it but they cant. The questions we left asking is who are the aliens and zombies and why they where trying to kill each other.

The dark night analysis
The genre indicates from the opening scene in the dark night that it is an action film, from the opening minutes the was already shooting involved from the joker who kills two people and from then you could already tell that it was an action film , his crew where holding weapons and guns and that medium shot of all 3 of them together in my opinion was a really powerful shot because it tells the audience that is jammed pack with all the things that you would expect from an action film.
Secondly The music in the background was very upbeat which created tension between the characters and the audience can feel more involved as they didn't no what was going to happen next and you can hear the drum in the background increasing and so did the intensity to and it all ended in a dramatic ending when the joker killed everyone and took the money and drove of with the bus.
Thirdly Mise en scene was used in the opening few minutes with the characters masks and you could tell that it would be a scary movie and it kind of set the theme of the rest of the film.
Finally the setting of it was in a main road with a lot of shops around and it looked like a busy area and it was a great setting i thought as an audience member because it was so big the town and you dont know what was going to happen next.

The Mechanic 2011 (Swimming Pool murder scene) Ft. Jason Staatham
Analysis of mechanic film
In the first minutes of mechanic action film you can see so many types of conventions that you would find in an action film. for example the man in the swimming pool went into the pool shortly after he got murdered straight away and he died and the we blood everywhere from an audience point of view you could already tell that the would be a lot of death in this film. the was bodyguards surrounding him and he still died as the murderer was to smart for him and they only saw it after the women screamed when she was the blood.
the was also a lot of money involved which is also traditionally you would represent from an action film and it was in a black bag and you represent money in an action film. the was also chasing involved when Jason ran and jumped of the building to get away from any trouble onto the boat. the music in the background we could hear had an high intensity and as an audience member you could tell that it was an action film.

Scream (1996) - Opening (1/3)
Scream Opening Scene analysed
Screams is a film about a young girl who is harassed by a stalker who keeps calling her on a phone and he is watching her the whole time and she gets really worried by it and then she realised that she is being watched by him and he was stalking her the whole time and he was on the phone to her and he knew every step she was taking and she was getting paranoid by her. she kept getting phone calls by her and she kept picking it up and flirting in a way with him but she didn't realised she was getting watched until later on. the is also high pitch screaming in the background which tells you and the audience she is panicking and she was trying to lock all the doors as soon as she can so she can stay way from danger. the first camera shot when she is walking past and you can see someone the near the coat hooks you can see a someone as a reflection in the background that was a medium shot which kind of set the film up nicely and how it was going to end you could almost tell just from that shot because it was really powerful, eye catching and strong.
